About the role
Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient position available in a healthcare setting located in Pahala, Hawaii. This role involves evaluating and re-evaluating patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments, developing and implementing therapeutic plans as prescribed by physicians. The therapist will independently manage a full caseload, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and insurance authorizations, and may work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as needed.
Schedule
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Duration: 26 weeks (end date 04/12/2027)
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, days (Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Flexibility to arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Develop and implement therapeutic plans as prescribed by physicians
- Independently manage a full caseload
- Ensure adherence to treatment protocols and insurance authorizations
- Work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as needed
Requirements
- Valid Hawaii Occupational Therapist license (must have by start of assignment)
- Minimum 2 years' work experience in adult outpatient and acute inpatient settings
- BLS certification from American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using EMR systems such as Net Health Therapy and Meditech
