About the role
Occupational Therapist (OT) providing therapy services in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Assist patients in regaining daily skills
- Assess home and workplace environments
- Educate families and employers
- Recommend and instruct on equipment use
- Document progress for reporting and billing purposes
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged)
- NBCOT-OTR certification
- BLS certification
- State-specific license
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology required
Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lean for extended periods
- Excellent assessment and communication skills
- Capacity to work with diverse patient populations requiring functional improvements
