About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Work in a specialized Burn Unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Perform day shifts, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Provide weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday), with 3 additional shifts selected from Monday through Friday
- Assess and treat burn patients with 0–100% TBSA burns
- Manage patient populations with complex needs such as pain management, surgical dressings, mobility limitations, contracture prevention, and scar management
- Support outpatient Physical Therapy evaluations and therapy sessions as needed
- Floating within the inpatient setting is required
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation
Requirements
- Current, active OT or PT license (LA license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Ability to float within the inpatient setting
- A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
Qualifications
- Passport required for international travel
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Up to 5 days of RTO allowed for this location
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Benefits
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
