About the role
We are seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to support therapy services under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Monitor and document patient progress, assisting with exercises, mobility training, and adaptive equipment use.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to enhance independence in daily activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, facility, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OTA.
- Current BLS and COTA National certification, with required state licensure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
- Certifications and licensure must be current; additional credentials may be required.
Schedule
The role involves working 35 hours weekly, with shifts of 7 hours during daytime.
