TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for a position in Huron, South Dakota. The role involves delivering therapeutic activities and interventions, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• National Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• One year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• State-specific licensure is required.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• National Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Two years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Benefits

• Tax-free stipend amount to be determined based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
