Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant - $1,474 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for a 13-week position in Portland, Oregon. This role involves 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and requires 1 year of experience as an OTA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• COTA National certification.
• State-specific licensure required.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.

Benefits

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
