About the Role

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an Acute Care Hospital setting in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This position requires 1+ year of acute care experience and BLS/NBCOT certification.

  • Diverse caseload including orthopedic, cardiac, and pediatric patients
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Weekend coverage required, Friday through Monday
  • Epic experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
  • Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
  • Travel pairs accepted
  • Facility cannot accommodate latex allergies

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services across a variety of acute care patient populations
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities including biofeedback, cardiac rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, TENS, and edema massage
  • Experience with orthopedic conditions including hip and knee replacements, hand injuries, and soft tissue injuries
  • Experience with prosthetics and orthotics including splinting techniques

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
  • Acute care experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • NBCOT certification required
  • Wisconsin or Compact OT license required if applicable; pending license accepted at submission but must be obtained prior to start
  • NIHSS certification may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance

Badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance. Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance. Orientation includes required training modules averaging 3-4 hours.

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment
  • 40 hours per week
  • 10-hour shifts, days (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
