Travel Occupational Therapist, Acute Care Hospital - $2,361 per week

Required Experience and Skills

• 1 year of level 1 trauma acute care experience
• Acute care experience, level one trauma hospital experience
• Strong communication skills
• Desire to work in a variety of patient populations

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• State Licensed

Experience and Skills Preferred

• Trauma Level I Experience
• Charting System Experience: Epic

Weekend and Shift Requirements

• Would be required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during the applicable week.
• Employee would work Monday through Friday, 0700-1530 (start time could be flexible up to 0800).

Additional Role Requirements

• Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers, making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
• Delegates to assistants and techs through written and verbal communication, determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the patient's needs.
• Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies.

Floating and Local Requirements

• May be utilized in any therapy service line within the hospital.
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius. No local travelers allowed except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants.

Other Requirements

• No more than 7 days of RTO within a 13-week contract.
• All travelers will float within the service line.

Special Requirements

• Familiarity with SPH equipment, vital carts, IPAD interpreter, and ADL supplies.
