About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This position requires 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts and is classified as a travel role.

Responsibilities

  • Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
  • Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
  • Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help patients work toward those goals.
  • Assist people with various disabilities in performing different tasks.
  • Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
  • Educate a patient's family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient.
  • Recommend and instruct patients on the use of special equipment.
  • Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • NBCOT-OTR (National Certification).
  • State-specific licensing.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
