Travel Occupational Therapist - $3,200 per week

About the Role

LanceSoft is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Bozeman, Montana. The role involves providing occupational therapy services in an outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation setting, including shoulders/elbows/wrists/hands, splinting, and modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates physical and functional status, including muscle groups, motor function, upper extremity function, ADLs, coordination, and neurological status.
  • Implements treatment plans based on evaluations, including manual therapy, modalities, therapeutic exercise, and splinting fabrication/modifications.
  • Prepares and instructs therapeutic exercise programs and develops home programs.
  • Documents initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment, education, and discharge summaries in compliance with BH Rehab policies.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers on pain management, safety, and individualized plans of care.
  • Performs Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Screens, and Driver's evaluations (if trained).
  • Collaborates with other disciplines and healthcare providers for education and treatment planning.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited AOTA Occupational Therapy program.
  • Montana Licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Completion of two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire.
  • Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Two years of hospital (inpatient/outpatient) occupational therapy experience.

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, days.
  • May require weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call work.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, pushing/pulling, and fine-finger movements.
  • Continuous exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, and infectious diseases.

Additional Information

The facility reserves the right to cancel three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
