Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,628 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Rockford, Illinois. The position requires 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, and is an immediate travel opening.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Help patients with disabilities perform various tasks.
• Evaluate home or workplace environments and recommend improvements based on health needs.
• Educate patients' families and employers on accommodation and care.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist (new graduates encouraged; 1 year preferred, with possible acceptance of 6 months for exceptional candidates).
• Current BLS certification and NBCOT‑OTR National Certification with appropriate state licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
