About the role

The Acute Care Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality patient-centered care within a short-term acute care environment. The role requires expertise in working with individuals in an inpatient setting to promote recovery and enhance functional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' daily living skills and overall functionality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress using Epic electronic health record system.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapy license.
• Prior experience in an inpatient acute care hospital setting.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts.
• Position floats between various units as required.
• Weekend shifts required, fluctuating between 2–4 weekends per month.
• Block schedules are mandatory.
