About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Danbury, Connecticut. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks to evaluate conditions and needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with specific goals and activities to help patients regain daily living skills.
  • Assist patients with various disabilities in performing tasks.
  • Evaluate patients' homes or workplaces and recommend improvements based on health needs.
  • Educate patients' families and employers on accommodations and care.
  • Recommend and instruct on the use of special equipment.
  • Assess and record patient progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to healthcare providers.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply; exceptional candidates with appropriate backgrounds may be considered).
  • BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
