Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,472 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Wilmington, Ohio. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts. As an OT you will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and work with disabled, ill or injured individuals in an acute care setting to improve daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
• Educate patient families and employers on accommodation and care.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply (1 year preferred).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT‑OTR National Certification with appropriate state licensing.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Skills

• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
