Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,354 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Boise, Idaho, starting September 14, 2026. This is a full-time travel position with a 10-hour day shift schedule (4 days per week, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM) in an acute inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to acute inpatients across medical, surgical, and specialty units
• Treat approximately 8–10 patients per day in a team of 8–12 therapists
• Manage a diverse caseload including neurologic, general medical, orthopedic, cardiac, and oncology diagnoses
• Provide coverage across all medical floors, PACU, and ED, with occasional floating to another hospital within a 20-mile radius
• Use EPIC EMR for documentation
• Work a variable 10-hour day shift schedule (4 days per week) on an 8-week schedule
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other full weekend or one weekend day per week)

Requirements

• Current state OT license required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience as a licensed therapist
• Current BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Valid driver’s license required
• Two professional references required:
  • One supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked
  • One peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait one year before applying for a travel assignment
