Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,349 per week

About the Role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Taos, New Mexico. This full-time position involves 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks to evaluate conditions and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with specific goals and activities to help patients regain daily living skills.
• Assist patients with various disabilities in performing tasks.
• Evaluate homes or workplaces to identify potential improvements based on patient health needs.
• Educate patients' families and employers on accommodations and care.
• Recommend and instruct on the use of special equipment.
• Assess and record patient progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply; exceptional candidates with appropriate backgrounds may be considered).
• BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay
