About the role
Occupational Therapist for an inpatient position in a designated healthcare setting. The role involves planning, organizing, and supervising occupational therapy treatments in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. Emphasis is placed on patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous quality improvement to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient levels of functioning
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in discharge planning
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and students
- Document treatment progress
- Actively participate in team meetings
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure safe and quality patient care
Schedule
- Days shift, 8 hours per day
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Valid, current State license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
- Inpatient rehabilitation or neuro experience is highly desired
