About the role
Occupational Therapist (OT) inpatient position located in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves evaluating and re-evaluating patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, developing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by physicians, and managing a caseload independently. The position requires a Hawaii State license and offers a Monday through Friday schedule.
Schedule
- Day shift: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- 40 hours per week (minimum)
- 8-hour shifts
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Develop therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by physicians
- Manage a caseload independently
- Apply procedures and use EMR systems (Net Health Therapy and Meditech)
- Provide coverage for holidays based on hospital needs
Requirements
- Hawaii State Occupational Therapist license (must have by start date)
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with adults in outpatient and acute inpatient settings
- BLS certification from American Red Cross
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday
