Occupational Therapist Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule: Day shift, 5x8.0 hours.
Responsibilities
- Affirms patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and implements appropriate treatment based on assessment findings.
- Participates in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning for each patient.
- Completes required documentation according to departmental policies and procedures.
- Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, supporting staff training and orientation.
- Acts with a customer service mindset towards patients and colleagues at all times.
- Evaluates patients efficiently and effectively, bases treatment plans on evaluation results and patient/family goals.
- Collaborates with team members to provide optimal patient care and maintain safety standards.
- Documents training and use of equipment with patients and families during discharge planning.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid, current State license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy preferred.

Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
