Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,286 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Twin Falls, Idaho.

About the Role

• 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital with a focus on orthopedic, neuro, and general medical patients
• Occupational Therapy department covers acute inpatient and rehab units, with occasional ICU coverage based on experience
• Treats 10 to 12 patients per day, including ortho-total joints, neuro/stroke, occasional brain injury (excluding TBI), medical, and general ICU cases
• Rehab aides support the team; COTAs are not utilized
• EPIC EMR used
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts (07:30–18:00)
• Rotating weekend coverage required unless assigned to a regular weekend shift
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No self-scheduling or blocked scheduling available

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in an acute care and rehab setting
• Treat a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurological, and general medical cases
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as required

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist state licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked (must include employment dates and rehire eligibility)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers welcome to apply

Additional Information

• OT Manager or Supervisor on-site for oversight
• Unit/department orientation typically lasts 2–3 days; travelers should plan for a Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour schedule during onboarding
• Scrubs permitted but must not match colors designated for other departments (approved colors provided upon hire)
• Permanent employees of the facility must wait one year after separation before applying for a travel assignment
• Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
