Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,267 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Anaconda, Montana. The position involves working with disabled, ill, or injured patient populations in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask patients questions, and observe them doing tasks
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and, on the basis of the patient's health needs, identify potential improvements
• Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment
• Assess and record patient's activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. For an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing
• Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• OTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• 8-hour rotating shifts
• Duration: 13 weeks
