Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,265 per week
About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an immediate opening in Hayward, California. This is a 20-week assignment with a schedule of 35 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. The role is full-time travel employment.
Responsibilities
- Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
- Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help the patient work toward those goals.
- Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs.
- Educate a patient's family and employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient.
- Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
- Assess and record patient's activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- NBCOT-OTR (National Certification) with state-specific licensing.
- Ability to stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
