Job Description
AHS Staffing is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Moore, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning impairments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide treatment interventions.
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with regulatory requirements and clinical best practices.
- Implement therapeutic interventions including: ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, training in supportive and assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make recommendations based on outcomes.
- Educate and counsel patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding treatment plans and functional goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Complete discharge planning and comprehensive discharge summaries.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Record treatment minutes and services provided in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Participate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, utilization reviews, and other required team meetings.
- Attend required trainings, in-services, and continuing education activities.
- Aid in obtaining necessary adaptive equipment, durable medical equipment (DME), and therapy supplies.
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), rehabilitation aides, and students as appropriate.
- Adhere to NBCOT standards, state practice acts, professional ethics, and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required.
- Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) and/or rehabilitation experience required.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and patient care skills.
- New graduates may be considered if they have completed a Level II Fieldwork experience.
