Ardor Health Solutions is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Morris, Illinois. The position is set in a Skilled Nursing Facility / Post‑Acute Rehab setting serving adult and geriatric patients. The assignment is described as a 13‑week duration with a start date of October 12, 2026, and elsewhere as a 14‑week travel contract. It is a full‑time role (40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts) under a travel employment type. The opportunity offers post‑acute rehab experience, the chance to build relationships with patients, and work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary therapy team. Located in northeastern Illinois, Morris provides a quieter small‑town setting with convenient access to the Greater Chicago area, local restaurants, parks, historic downtown, outdoor recreation along the Illinois River, and easy weekend trips to Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving ADLs and functional independence.
- Treat orthopedic, neurological, post‑surgical, and medically complex patients.
- Provide ADL retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, transfer training, cognitive interventions, and adaptive equipment education.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, PT, SLP, and case management.
- Educate patients and caregivers on safety strategies, home modifications, and discharge planning.
- Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Illinois OT license required.
- BLS certification required.
- SNF or post‑acute experience preferred.
