About the role
The occupational therapist (OT) delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes. The OT is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy. The OT actively participates in discharge planning, implements the treatment program, and reassesses treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including significant others and the patient.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and develop individual treatment plans.
- Maintain standards of professional and ethical practice.
- Actively participate in discharge planning and implement treatment programs.
- Reassess treatment results and deliver services in compliance with mission and ethical standards.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience in Skilled/Acute setting and some Outpatient experience.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- Texas and national license for occupational therapy.
- Capable of treating SNF-General, wounds, ortho, neuro, debility patients.
Schedule
- 12 weeks, starting 08/10/2026
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shifts (M-F 7a-4p or 8a-5p)
- No weekends & no call
