Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,880 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Macomb, Illinois. The position requires 35 hours per week and operates on a 7-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, including specific goals and activities.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend potential improvements.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about accommodating and caring for the patient.
• Recommend and instruct on the use of special equipment.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• MUST have BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
