Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,857 per week

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NICU care with a commitment to providing exceptional therapy services to our critically ill newborn patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload consisting of NICU patients, ensuring thorough assessments and tailored interventions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct therapy sessions with patients 3 to 5 times per week, promoting optimal development and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress using MedHost EMR.

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a focus on NICU care is required.

Work environment

This position is based in a busy NICU with a total of 21 beds, providing intensive care for newborns. The patient-to-staff ratio in the NICU will ensure dedicated attention to each patient.

Schedule

• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 2:30 PM.
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts.

Additional information

• Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Uniforms should consist of solid color scrubs.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Duration: 13 weeks.
