About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Goodyear, Arizona. This full-time position involves 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks to evaluate conditions and needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans with specific goals and activities to help patients regain daily living skills.
Assist patients with various disabilities in performing tasks and recommend adaptive equipment.
Evaluate patients' homes or workplaces to identify potential improvements based on health needs.
Educate patients' families and employers on accommodations and care strategies.
Instruct patients on the use of special equipment.
Assess and record patient progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to healthcare providers.
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply; exceptional candidates with appropriate backgrounds may be considered).
BLS certification and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
