Travel Occupational Therapist - $1,768 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Galesburg, Illinois. The position requires 35 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, and is an immediate travel opening.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
• Educate patient's family and employer on accommodation and care.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist (1 year preferred; exceptional candidates with appropriate background may be considered with 6 months).
• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT‑OTR National Certification with state‑specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay

Based on 8‑hour shifts and 35.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
