About the role
Travel Occupational Therapist position in Okeechobee, Florida. This role involves 40 hours per week with an 8-hour day shift in a facility with 100 beds and a team of 2 Occupational Therapists, 3 Outpatient COTAs, and 2 Inpatient COTAs. The position requires flexibility to work Tuesday through Saturday.
Unit Information
- Location: Okeechobee, FL
- Shift Availability: Day only
- Patient Ratios: Estimated 7-10 patients per therapist
- Type of Equipment: Standard inpatient and outpatient equipment, including estim, ultrasound, and infrared
- Documentation System: Meditech
Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient evaluations and follow up on patient progress
- Prepare progress reports and discharge notes, primarily focusing on upper extremity (UE) orthopedic and neurological cases
- Assist with inpatient evaluations as required
- Type reports to facilitate continuity of care for patients
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Adaptability to both outpatient and inpatient environments
- Strong typing skills for report preparation
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Pay
