Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment at a 422-bed hospital in Brandon, FL.
Inpatient rehabilitation therapy unit (IP Rehab, Unit 774) in a 422-bed hospital
Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week
24-bed unit staffed with PT, OT, and ST professionals
Patient ratio of approximately 4–5 patients per therapist, typically 4
Rotating weekend schedule: one weekend per month, with a comp day off before and after the weekend
Typical inpatient rehab gym equipment used on unit
Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis with hospital employees
Requirements
- Active Florida OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred; acute care experience is a plus

- Perform typical occupational therapy treatments with inpatient rehab patients
- Collaborative team of 17 staff with strong interdisciplinary relationships, including close working relationships with nursing
