About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post partum period.
- Care for both moms and their newborns after delivery.
- Monitor mothers and ensure proper recovery, recognizing postpartum depression and teaching new moms how to address emotions.
- Teach new parents on how to care, bathe, breastfeed, or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor his or her health.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Accredited nursing program degree
- BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
