Travel Nursery RN - $2,171 per week
About the Role
Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in Salem, Massachusetts. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a Level 2B Special Care Nursery, encompassing Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum (PP), Newborn Nursery (NBN), 2 Operating Rooms (ORs), 2 Antepartum/Neonatal Units (ANU), and Recovery Room (RR).
- Rotate shifts as required: Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) with 1 Night of Call. Evening and Night shifts do not rotate.
- Adhere to clinician-to-patient ratios: L&D (1:2-3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor, magnesium gtt, or epidural), PP (1:3-4).
- Care for a diverse patient population.
Requirements
- 2+ years of NICU experience required.
- 3 years of experience working in one location; 2 years working as a Traveler.
- Experience in Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care.
- No floating required.
Qualifications
- Active RN license.
- Certifications: AHA BLS and NRP.
Unit Details
- Unit Name: Level 2B - Special Care Nursery.
- Bed Count: 5 L&D Rooms, 12 PP, 2 ORs in RR, 2 ANU with 4 beds.
- Average daily census: 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor.
- EMR/Charting System: EPIC.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
