Travel Nurse Supervisor RN - Med Surg - $3,290 per week

About the role

Travel Nursing Supervisor position located in Santa Cruz, California. The role involves overseeing staffing, bed assignments, responding to patient complaints, and collaborating with charge nurses. This position offers 24/7 coverage with shifts scheduled from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing and bed assignments
• Respond to patient concerns
• Coordinate with other departments including cath and operating room teams during off hours
• Maintain communication with administration

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks (08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026)

Requirements

• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Current COVID vaccination certification
• Valid nursing licensure
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a house supervisor or in a comparable role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system
• Previous experience in an acute care setting handling staffing and patient management

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of 2-3 shifts specific to the unit
• Healthcare provider staff (hospitalists or intensivists) present on-site 24/7
