Telemetry (TELE) nurse in a short-term acute care facility located within a trauma and pediatric trauma center. This role involves providing specialized care on a designated stroke unit and neuro-intensive care unit, with a focus on patients with neurology and neurosurgical diagnoses. Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry monitoring and care for neurology and neurosurgical patients.
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and manage neuro stepdown.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP therapy and chest tubes.
• Assist with procedural sedation.
• Provide care for patients with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury.
• Use NIH Stroke Scale assessments.
• Float between units as needed and comply with client requirements.

Requirements

• Valid compact nursing license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in neuro or telemetry units.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Skills

• Proficiency with NIH scale.
• BiPAP/CPAP management.
• Chest tube management.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
