Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,382 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Telemetry position at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts (7 am–7 pm), every other weekend and holidays required. Unit: 4 South, South Tower, 4th floor, 36 beds, patient ratio 1:6. Unit staffed with 2 unit secretaries (0600‑2200) and patient care techs. Equipment includes telemetry monitors per room, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner; documentation via Meditech. Hospital is Pathways to Excellence Certified, Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly rounding and bedside shift report.
• Maintain My Care Boards and follow AIDET communication standards.
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and interpret arrhythmias.
• Perform procedures such as PICC line removal and vas cath/temp cath removal.
• Provide direct patient care, assess condition changes, administer medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
• Float to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification (ACLS must be current prior to submission).
• Meditech experience.
• Strong nursing background with thorough assessment skills and attention to detail.
