At Renown South Meadows Medical Center, a hospital located in south Reno, you’ll find the best of both worlds. Renown South Meadows is ranked in the top 1 percent nationwide for quality care based on measures for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. The unit’s patient population includes treatment of CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, care of post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU. Medications include non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc). You may float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, as well as Renown Regional. Our goal is the provision of clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and other vital signs.
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips as prescribed.
• Float to ICU, medical-surgical units, or Renown Regional as needed for telemetry/medical appropriate assignments.
• Pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada (RN-NV).
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA).
• No more than a 0-day gap in work history.
• Two references covering your entire work history.
• SSN and date of birth required for compliance.

Pay

Pay Rate: $2,283.00 - $2,400.00 per week. Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
