Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,333 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Telemetry position in Kansas City, Missouri for a 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. The unit has 29 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4 and staffing includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, and PCTs. Equipment available: Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Dinamap in each room, three Welch Allen Vital Machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitor, EKG machine, bladder scanner, Doppler, and Imobile for team communication. Documentation is performed in Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Provide post cardiac procedural care (ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post‑op day 1 open heart, permanent pacemaker placements).
• Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and amiodarone.
• Perform IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker management, and Foley insertions.

Requirements

• Minimum 1‑year current acute care PCU/Tele hospital experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
