About the role

29-bed unit staffed with RNs and CNA/CCTs. Staffing matrix is between 1:4-6 patients. Ancillary staff includes a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists. Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients; all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT.

Patient population includes treatment of any medical or stable telemetry diagnoses: COPD, sepsis, COVID and other respiratory illnesses, ETOH withdrawal, DM, GI bleed, etc. May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, and Renown South Meadows. Extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level 2 trauma center, Stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient-bed hospital, 80 ER beds. The volume and pace required are that of a level 1 trauma center.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, Telemetry license in Nevada (RN-NV)
• ACLS-AHA certification
• BLS-AHA certification
• SSN and date of birth required
• No more than 0 days gap in entire work history
• Two references covering entire work history
• 60-mile radius rule
• NV state background check with fingerprints required to start (process can take up to 45 days)

Location

Reno, Nevada – known as “The Biggest Little City in the World.” Less than an hour’s drive from Lake Tahoe and in close proximity to Yosemite National Park, offering a mix of nature and entertainment options.

Pay

Pay Rate: $2,227.00 - $2,341.00 per week. Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
