About the Role
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts at a 346-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level II trauma center and certified stroke center. The facility serves 16 parishes in Central Louisiana and offers advanced cardiac and neurological care.
Responsibilities
- Provide telemetry nursing care in an acute care setting
- Perform cardiac monitoring and patient assessments
- Utilize strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Work with Meditech electronic medical records (EMR) system
Requirements
- Current RN licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience
- ACLS-AHA and BLS-AHA certifications
- No more than 90 days gap in work history within the last year
- SSN and date of birth required for compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR
- Experience in acute care or trauma center settings
Location
Alexandria, Louisiana, is a welcoming Southern city on the Red River, offering access to cultural attractions, history, and outdoor activities in Kisatchie National Forest. Baton Rouge is approximately a two-hour drive southeast.
Pay
Pay rate ranges from $2,135.00 to $2,245.00 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
