Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,144 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Notifies supervisor or physician of patient's cardiac status and response to interventions
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification

Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Skills

The Telemetry Registered Nurse should demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. They must also have the ability to read/write in the English language, comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiently use a computer.

Pay and Schedule

Highly competitive pay for travel professionals, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Shifts are 12 hours, days, 36 hours per week, and start date is ASAP.
