About the role
The role of RN Telemetry in West Allis, Wisconsin involves providing skilled nursing care to Med/Surg patients during night shifts. Responsibilities include telemetry observation and care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Maintain telemetry monitoring and treatment for patients with common Med/Surg diagnoses.
- Support the management of tracheostomies and chest tubes.
- Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips.
- Administer and monitor Lasix (furosemide) drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and wound vacs.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- At least 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience.
- Able to perform a general Med/Surg skillset including management of tracheostomies and chest tubes, read/interpret cardiac rhythm strips, and administer/monitor Lasix (furosemide) drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and wound vacs.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Nights, 1900-0700; 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week; weekend rotation every other; every other major holiday.
