About the role

Telemetry (TELE) Nursing position located in the hospital setting. This role involves floating across multiple units, performing cardiac monitoring, interpreting telemetry strips, and managing cardiac drips. The position offers night shifts with a focus on acute care patient management in diverse medical-surgical and specialized units.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Manage cardiac drips
• Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, & Overflow)
• Care for ED border patients and medication nursing in the acute mental health unit
• Care for non-vented, transfer-ready patients in the ICU

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location
• 2 years of traveling nurse experience
• Telemetry monitoring experience, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips
• TR Band experience
• Ability to read telemetry strips

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Experience managing diverse patient populations, including those in the emergency department border and mental health units

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Assignment duration: 09/20/2026 to 12/19/2026

Clinician-to-patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights. Units range from 8 to 41 beds in size. EMR system used is EPIC.
