Role Overview

The Stepdown Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general units, focusing on monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administering medications and assisting with cardiac procedures
• Observing patient conditions, documenting assessments, and responding to emergencies
• Educating patients on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
• Ensuring safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications & Skills

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience
• Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
• Critical thinking, interpersonal, technical, and physical abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Key Attributes
