About the role
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Charlevoix, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and documents appropriately into patient records
- Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
- Cookbook and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
- Avoid patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed

- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- ACLS certification preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

- Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
