Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a 13-week assignment in La Juncta, Colorado starting September 21, 2026. The position requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and will be full-time.

Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • NIHSS certification preferred

Essential Work Functions

  • Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
  • Cookordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
  • Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
  • Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • The ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • The ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • The ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • The ability to perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • The ability to maintain continuous concentration to detail
  • The ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally
