Travel Nurse RN - Rehabilitation - $2,235 per week

About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation care to adult patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The role requires adaptability to a medical-surgical environment, collaborating with a team dedicated to maximizing patient recovery and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation care to adult patients
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to maximize patient recovery and quality of life
• Assist Clinical Nursing Assistants and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety
• Adapt to a medical-surgical environment with varying acuity needs

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 7:00 a.m.
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursing license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Experience in Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation related to patient acuity

Preferred Qualifications

• Inpatient rehabilitation or Med-Surg experience aligned with patient acuity

Additional Information

• Float: Not currently required; may be required to float to a satellite inpatient rehabilitation facility within 20 minutes in the near future
• The inpatient rehab hospital functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit, with high-acuity needs at times
• All nursing staff are expected to assist Clinical Nursing Assistants and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety
• Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically starting January 6, 2026
