About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Chesterfield, MO. Responsibilities

  • Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
  • Coordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
  • Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
  • Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical abilities: must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal skills: must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/motor skills: must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Mental requirements: must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel; contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Sensory: must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
