Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Chesterfield, MO. Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
- Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
- Coordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
- Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

- Physical abilities: must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills: must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/motor skills: must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental requirements: must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel; contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Sensory: must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
