Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a 13-week assignment in North Kansas City, Missouri. The start date is July 28, 2026, and the shift is 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week.

Special Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • NIHSS certification preferred

Essential Work Functions

  • Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
  • Cook up and coordinate holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and ADLs, while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
  • Avoid safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
