Travel Nurse RN - Radiology - $2,893 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a travel nursing job in Providence, Rhode Island. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, 10‑hour day shifts. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience and will work in a diagnostic radiology environment, collaborating with technologists and radiologists to evaluate and implement diagnostic care.

Responsibilities

• Start or check peripheral IVs
• Access and assess infusaports
• Administer medications
• Monitor vital signs
• Suction patients
• Insert foleys
• Help patients with personal needs
• Inform the technologist or radiologist of any unusual patient needs
• Perform specialized nursing duties such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures
• Closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment
